Socially Conscious Social
Coming up with a tagline is no easy feat. But trying to nail one down for a business that feels like an extension of you? Well, I imagine it’s second only to naming a firstborn child in terms of gravitas.
Emily and I came up with almost 30 different tagline options as we geared up for the launch of Totally Taryn Social. I polled friends, mentors, and industry experts, and then obsessed about how it would look in our chosen font. And in the end, we landed on the very first one I wrote: Socially Conscious Social. I love it because of the alliteration and because I feel that it perfectly sums up what we want Totally Taryn Social to be about: Namely that we aim to work exclusively with brands that we feel we can make a real difference with.
We specialize in social media strategy and services for progressive and purpose-driven brands. But what on earth does that even mean? Couldn’t anything be considered progressive or purpose-driven if you have a good enough PR person? As a marketer I recognize the answer to that last question is probably yes. So we are categorizing the businesses we want to change the world with as brands that are:
Good for the Environment – Feature sustainable production methods, recycled/recyclable packaging, and ethical sourcing.
Good for Animals – Proud to be cruelty-free, plant-based and/or vegan.
Good for Communities – Making a real difference by engaging in sustainable business practices, charitable giving and volunteering to causes that are aligned with their brand values.
Good for Workers – Have inclusive hiring practices and offer equal opportunities and fair/living wages to Women, POC, People with Disabilities, and the LGBTQ community.
Good for Consumers – Bring forward quality products, marketing campaigns, and business practices that support their customers' physical and mental well-being.
Does this sound like your business? If so, KUDOS! You’re clearly out there being a force for good. Now isn’t it time you had a social strategy that matched?
Drop us a line! We’d love to learn more about your brand.
Totally,
Taryn
